"We're not interviewing people because they were once great athletes. We're interviewing them because they continue to challenge beliefs about what's possible in the Third Quarter of life."

Meet the Hosts

Third Quarter Badass was born from a simple belief: some of the most inspiring fitness-related stories aren't about athletes in their twenties—they're written decades later.

As CrossFit coaches, lifelong athletes, and members of the Third Quarter ourselves, we've watched firsthand what happens when people refuse to accept that their best years are behind them. We've seen athletes set personal records and make astonishing accomplishments in their forties, fifties, sixties, seventies, and beyond. We've seen setbacks become comebacks, and retirement become the beginning of extraordinary new adventures.

Every conversation on our podcast is driven by genuine curiosity. We want to know what keeps remarkable people training, competing, adapting, and growing long after most people expect them to slow down.

Because we believe the Third Quarter isn't the beginning of the end.

It's the beginning of what's possible.

Scott grew up as a runner before moving into triathlon and eventually discovering CrossFit at age 50. What began as a new challenge became a passion for lifelong fitness, continuous improvement, and helping others discover what they're capable of later in life.
Professionally, he is a senior partner at an international law firm preparing for retirement in his own Third Quarter - a transition that helped inspire the creation of this podcast.
Scott believes that the greatest victories aren't always measured by podiums or medals, but by the willingness to keep pursuing meaningful challenges throughout life.

Meg has lived an athletic life from the beginning. A former triathlete, college volleyball player and pole vaulter, she has been part of the CrossFit community for more than fifteen years and today is actively training and coaching at her own CrossFit affiliate in northern New Hampshire.
As a coach, Meg has helped athletes of every age and ability build confidence, strength, and resilience. She believes fitness should empower people to continue saying "yes" to life's adventures, regardless of age.
Her combination of coaching experience, competitive drive, and genuine enthusiasm for people makes her especially passionate about uncovering the lessons behind extraordinary athletic journeys.
